Mods – the long tail finally snaps

3

August 15, 2008 by Colin

The long tail finally snaps at something I’m interested in and have been looking for: music from the late 70s / early 80s mod revival.

The Lambrettas, The Creation, The Purple Hearts: a treasure trove can be found at The Songs That People Sing.

Enjoy.

Hey, there are a number of good sites out there for mod and mod revival. One of the best is the Mod Pop Punk Archives at http://punkmodpop.free.fr/

And, I have a weekly modcast that features all mod and mod friendly bands — http://www.mistersuave.com.

    Cheers,
    Mr. Suave

“Lo, it is nearly 350 years that we and our fathers have inhabited this most lovely land, and never before has such terror appeared in Britain as we have now suffered from a pagan race, nor was it thought that such an inroad from the sea could be made. Behold, the church of St. Cuthbert spattered with the blood of the priests of God, despoiled of all its ornaments; a place more venerable than all in Britain is given as a prey to pagan peoples.”
