I'm visiting my parents in Australia at the moment and filled up the tank in my mothers car and bought a couple of bags of groceries - change out of $150.00 AUD... about $5.00

With the distances things (like food) have to travel in Australia the cost of living is going through the roof. Don't even get me started on the current price of a pint of beer...

Who is going to be the one to tell the Americans that they have been shortchanged on liquid measure since, well since whenever, they have 16 oz to the pint where the UK always uses 20 oz, so right there is 20 or 25% (depending on which side you start).

So a "gallon of gas" simply isn't, and never really has been......I guess on this 4th July it is a sobering message not to start a war with your imperial overlords !?!?!

Now that's sneaky.
