[...] « Can’t stop thinkin’ about Jim Buckmaster Just surfing… » AA is getting viral (not what you think) June 7th, 2007 Careful, social media fanatics. It appears as if the condition known asAggregation Aggravation (also known as Digital and Social Media Syndrome) is spreading.
I think this anxiety over too many social networks is temporary. We don't have anxiety over too many communication conferences, or too many communication trade publications. We know we attend some conferences and not others, read some trade pubs and not others.

I think the job everyone has to do right now is to CHECK OUT every one of these networks and see which ones we wind up going back to and which ones we forget about after a week.

To me, worrying about there being too many social networks is like worrying that there's just too much to do in the city and not enough time to do it.

Live in the city long enough and you get over it. We'll all--yes, I suffer from some of this anxiety too--get over it.

And Colin -- you should have some free time very soon, once the Sens allow the Ducks to complete the rout. :-(

I think that's what they made wink.com for, but it's on their terms. For example, they don't have My Ragan, yet.

Very very true. although a Trillian for social networks wouldn't take off, just like it hasn't really become ubiquitous for IM. there's too many little weird features that just don't translate to one platform (you never know what Facebook is going to do next)

I almost wish people would stop making web 2.0 sites because I'm suffering from crazy password fatigue
